Sigur Rós and Jesse Sykes approve use of their music in ‘A Warrior’s Religion’!
Looks like good news comes in waves. Just as I am entering the director’s cut, I get approval for 2 more songs to be used in AWR!
Sigur Rós, one of the premiere bands in the world, has an enigmatic sound that seems to have no borders. Their music has been embraced by people all over the world. Credited for bringing post-rock/dream-rock to the masses, Sigur Rós continues to enlighten the world with their grace.
The beautiful Jesse Sykes, known for her sultry voice, lyrical prowess, and a truly unique sound. She took time away from her busy touring schedule to personally contact me throughout the licensing process. When I was getting no straight answers from publishers, Jesse took it upon her self to guide me. With virtually no support to date, I was awe struck someone would do that so benevolently.
Shoutouts to Sigur Rós and Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter for taking time to check out my project and once again approving use of their music for my film,
And a very special thank you to Diane Lametti of Universal Music Publishing Group and Janet Baker of Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
p.s. 1 more artist’s approval pending, then the soundtrack will be complete!
