On March 18th and March 19th, we hosted a total of 4 screenings.

These being the first screenings of my film for the public.

I must admit I was fairly nervous as these screenings would act as the barometer of success for this film.  The many hours of hard work preparing for the release and during the release itself paid off.  We were able to fill over 2000 seats over the 4 showings.

The film was well received with hundreds of supportive comments sent via phone, letter, and email.  I thank the public for supporting this film’s message and its messenger.

I send out my sincerest thank yous to the following people;

Sandi, my manager; without you, the public screenings would not have been successful.  Your tireless efforts did not go unnoticed.  You along with my mother delivered 1000s of fliers to many neighbourhoods of Surrey.  You made sure I was safe and kept me in line.  No easy task for someone as headstrong as me.

Nina & Neesha of Gemini Events and Management; your expertise with events and media brought so much attention to the film that I barely had time to breath in between all the interviews.  The media blitz garnered the support and attention necessary for a successful event and secured my foothold in doing future screenings.

To the volunteers; my mother, Harvinder Kaur Amar, you have been my guiding light to find strength since the day I was born.  What I do in this world, I do for you.

Ruby; I thank Nina & Neesha for introducing me to you.  Your timely suggestions along with media updates kept me on my toes.  Making sure I was ready with newest information.

Narinder, Tina, Rebecca, Gazala, Preet, & Gurdeep; you helped me based off the trust of your friend Sandi.  I could only wish to be blessed with such a strong base of great friends.  You guys were great in the crunch time.
